The Molecular Horizons institute, serving as the primary research environment for this position, occupies a central role within UOW’s Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health, in terms of location as well as strategic positioning.
Dr Shane Ellis’s group within Molecular Horizons and the School of Chemistry and Molecular Bioscience develops high resolution mass spectrometry imaging technologies and methods to study the molecular processes occurring within tissues and cells, as well as to classify diseased tissues based on their local chemical compositions.
As a member of the Ellis group the position will focus on the development of mass spectrometry imaging applications having translational benefits, with a focus on clinically-relevant research questions.
