    Hi Markus,

Our digitizer was dying. We discovered this by repetitive laser firing in Voyager Control. Before long, we got an error message. BL

We need a spotter for two things. We prepared tests for the Labcyte, Shimadzu, and Leap spotters all geared towards our own particular needs. The first company passed the test for need #1 and came up with a story as to why they couldn’t take the test for need #2. The third company passed our tests for both needs. We are still waiting to hear from the second company. Your needs may be different from ours. I would say prepare your own tests and buy the spotter that best suits your needs. BL

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for your comment. I will never use interpolate again. We are looking at ratios of myosin light chain and myosin light chain phosphate peaks in contracting smooth muscle. We seem to be losing information with the interpolate function.

I am completely open to borrowing from the experience from other fields. Do you have any insight on base line correction and stuff like that when comparing images? Barbara

When it comes to analyzing large image files, is the Unix OS any better? We would like to obtain images that look as much as possible like histology images. What kind of system would you recommend for files greater than 1-2 GB?

    Thanks,

Our first mistake was trying to load a scan instead of importing an msi. (mass spec image) BL

    Markus,

Thanks. We updated to BioMap 3.6.3 and are now able to export spectra as txt files. We’d like to export frequency histograms but get the message “The following error was encountered: EXECUTE function not available. Please consult the supplier of the application.” How do we fix this? BL

So how does one import an optical image into BioMap? Once the optical image is imported into BioMap and aligned with the MSI, is there a way to define an ROI on the optical image and have it transferred to the MSI?

    Thanks
    Barbara
