ParticipantHello,
Yes, problem solved – I had a dot in one of the directories to which I saved the data files (which had no dots in the file names).
I feel silly now! Thankyou for help.

ParticipantJust for info….
the errors I was getting on some files "End of File Encountered. Unit: 102" etc do not occur with the exact same files, following an update to the newest version of the software.

ParticipantHi,
I have had this same problem before, this was solved by renaming the three file names of the .img, .t2m and .hdr to something simple (all the same name). I had some funny characters in my file name that was preventing it from opening.

ParticipantHi,
I am having the same problem, my file loads to 74% and then I encounter the same problem…..was the conclusion that this is not an error that can be rectified, but a smaller data set needs to be acquired?
Thanks,
Hazel*edit*
I have just calclated that my data file should be 174 MB, however the "Import Data Size" quoted in the BioMap MSI Import window says my file is 129MB…..i.e.74% the size it should be. My data appears to have collected fine when I view my data in Analyst, is this a problem with the PC not converting the file correctly to Analyze 7.5 format? We have recently had to compress lots of files on the PC as it was approaching maximum capacity.
Please Help 🙁

ParticipantHas there been any progress on this issue?I am also interested in normalising a whole data set rather than image by image.

ParticipantI have another problem regarding the evolution of multi images…the images I produce are for every .2 mass units – 100.0, 100.2, 100.4 etc…is there any way of producing the 100.1, 100.3, 100.5 etc images?
Thanks,
HazelHazel
ParticipantPerfect – open fine now!! Thankyou very much for help and quick response.

ParticipantMany thanks – I have sent the required information to webmaster@maldi-msi.org – hope this was the right address to use!

ParticipantThanks for quick reply, but I have already assessed that the number of data points in my file is not the problem – it only totals 12,000 data points from a single acquisition run. The file imports as an image using the scan function, however I can’t manipulate my data this way!! Any thoughts as to the problem would be most welcome.
Edit: the files I am having trouble importing have been acquired using the “enhance all” feature in Analyst – could this why the data will not open? Does that dramatically increase the file size/number of data points?
Many Thanks,
HazelHazel
ParticipantHi,
I am also receiving this error when I try to import a data file – I have checked the size and it is smaller than other files I have successfully imported – any idea what’s wrong?
Many thanks

ParticipantThanks very much for your response, that solved the problem.

ParticipantHi Markus,
The size of the file I am trying to open is 58MB, and the RAM of the computer is 1GB. (There is 77GB free on the hard drive). Hope this is the required information.
