ModeratorWe’ll fix that limitation in a future release. You may use your existing data by appending zero data to get the required file size.

ModeratorOK, I compiled a new version which should solve the issue. Please download the file http://www.maldi-msi.org/download/BioMapSav373.zip and unpack ‘biomap.sav’ to the ‘bin’ directory of BioMap (rename the existing one as backup). Get a new license file and it should work. Please let us know… and make sure that you enter the ID for registration in the exact same case as it is shown in BioMap…

ModeratorThanks for the detailled descriprion of the probem. I could not yet reproduce this error on our test envrionments. Could you provide us with more information on your system? What OS do use? What is the version of IDL on your system? Do use ILD DE or IDL VM?
Thanks,
Markus

ModeratorThat looks like a corrupt *.msi file. Check if the file size matches with the specified dimensions. Multiply therefore the number of x and y points with the data points in the mass spectrum times two.

ModeratorDo you have multiple network adapters in this computer? What OS did you install it on?

ModeratorThis issue needs more attention. ❓ I’ll contact you offline and I’ll post a solution to this forum should it be a generic problem.

ModeratorThis is a problem with computers which allow you to enable/disable multiple network connections (wireless, lan, activesync). I have not yet found an elegant way to resolve this issue. Here’s the crude way: open a command prompt and type ‘ipconfig /all’. You’ll most likely see multiple entries similar to ‘Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-0B-CD-07-C3-E0’. For each of these, copy the numbers without dashes into the ‘Software ID’ field of the registration form and get a license for each entry. Then try – one of them should do the trick… 🙂

ModeratorI looked at the header and got the following dimensions:
ms: 3351
x: 86
y:154Everything looks OK, also the file sizes… but you have special characters in the file name. Just try to rename the 3 files and let us know if this solves your probem.

ModeratorYou may send the .hdr file together with the file size information of the .img and .t2m files to me and I will check it for its integrity.

ModeratorHm, I would guess that one would have to make more changes to the optics than replacing the prism (e.g. set a lense closer to the target, open the beam up and then refocus it again). Bernhard Spengler published his superb optics for the LAMMA 2000 – could give you some ideas.

ModeratorCould you give us the size of the files which give you that error and the free memory of the computer? I’ll then pass this information on to our MRI guys to get their words of wisdom on this…

ModeratorYou hade a typo in the filename. It should read ‘licenserc’. Did that solve the problem?
